How to Make a Presentation Longer
Making a short presentation longer can be a challenge if you can't think of what else to add. If this happens to you, try some of the suggestions here for stretching it out a little more without making it obvious.
Steps
-
1Decide what your presentation is going to be about. This might depend on the course you're studying, a set question or you own free choice. The important thing is to narrow down the topic to make sure it is manageable. However, in doing this, it can sometimes feel you have very little to add, so take care with how you define the breadth of the topic.Ad

2Write an introduction. Add an image to the slide, one that helps to show what the topic is about. Also write down the name of the person who is doing the project, as well as your name if this is different from the presenter, so people know you wrote it.
-
3Create your slides. While writing the slides, add pictures to take up more space and add interest to each slide.
-
4Do one slide full of information. Then do a slide with nothing but pictures. If you like how this appears, consider doing it for the whole presentation.
-
5Add small clips from videos. These take up time and create a sense of completeness. Even if it's a clip from YouTube, it will be a nice way to round out your topic.
-
6Consider adding audio. This could be you giving a special overview or somebody you've interviewed perhaps.
-
7Throw in a short quiz. Do a pop quiz to test people's listening skills, or more enjoyably, do a quiz that lets people work out "which one am I?", based on whatever your topic is. This can be both fun and time-consuming, and will definitely stretch out your presentation.
- If it's your own voice, since this is a just a reading, add fancy words. Later in the presentation, restate the same idea in simple speech
-
8When you are done, add a 'hope you enjoyed, thank you!' with an image.Ad

Tips
- Be sure to reference anything you quote or ideas you use from things you've read. Adding references takes up more space, improves the reliability of your work and serves as further information for people to follow up if they're interested.
Things You'll Need
