How to Clean Adhesive from Scissors
Have you ever tried to use scissors while cutting duct tape and then the scissor just get gummed up? Each time the stickiness builds up, you simply need to clean it off so that the scissors work well again.
Steps

1Use duct tape.
- Get a small sheet, or fabric, of duct tape and fold in half.
- Open up the gummed scissors.
- Run the sheet of duct tape down the gummed up side, Press down hard.
- Repeat for other side also.

2Use tea-tree or eucalyptus essential oil.
- Add some oil to a cotton ball or paper towel.
- Run the soaked ball or towel up and down the gummed part and feel the gum lift right off.

3Use orange oil or orange oil cleaner.
- As with the previous step, add the orange oil or orange oil cleaner to a cotton ball or paper towel.
- Move the soaked ball or paper towel up and down the gummed part.
- Feel the gummed part lift.

4Or, you can use nail polish remover on a cotton ball and rub that up and down the blades to get them clean.

5In each case, you can wash the scissors in warm water and gentle soap and leave to air dry so that they're completely clean. This step is optional. Be sure that washed scissors are completely dry before returning them to storage.Ad

Tips
- You can also use your finger. If you use a lot of duct tape that needs to be cut and you repeat it many times the duct tape will have all the adhesive on it but you can just cover it up with another strip of duct tape.
