    Understand what is meant by being a "headship". For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing. (Ephesians 2:23-24) Headship is not a license to command, control or coerce, nor is it just satisfying sexual feelings; it is a protective covering which will "woo" his bride unto perfection through love.[1]

    Love your wife unconditionally. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; (Ephesians 2:25) Give her love without concern for receiving, and love her so much that you would die for her.[1]

    Take care of her the same way to take care of yourself. So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.
