How to Get Rid of a Headache in Kids
Have a headache? Or someone else you care about has? Well most people get headaches whether its severe or not there will always be one in children sometimes. This is how to get rid of it!
Steps
-
1First determine whether your child has a severe headache or a mild one. When you have done this just say to the child "It'll be okay". If they are crying just tell them to sit down and hold a wet cold flannel on the part of the head that is hurting.Ad
-
2Make sure your child is drinking plenty of water or juice throughout their day. If they don't drink enough their headache is sure to get worse and there will be almost no way to stop it, so make sure that they keep on drinking during the day as much as they can.
-
3Take away any electrical systems like Xbox, DS' or phones etc. if they are playing with a system for hours and hours time and time again, make sure you never take it away from them for as long as you feel. And also try to reduce their TV Xbox time to only an hour a day by keeping them busy for as long as you can.
-
4Make them go to their bed to catch up on lost sleep as some headaches can be caused by being sleep deprived or going bed later than usual. Also when they go to bed put a wet cold flannel on the part of their head that is painful.
-
5Give them a couple doses of Calpol before they go bed and when they wake up in the morning. WARNING: before use please look on the label for further instructions for safety reasons.
-
