    Cut two 12" x 24" pieces of nylon fabric.

    Measure out 12" and 24" of dowel wood to use as supports
  3. 3
    Lay one rectangle down, and lay the dowels on top in a cross formation.

    Lay the other piece of nylon fabric on top of them and sew the nylon around the dowels so they will not move.

    Add the tail.
  6. 6
    Go out and fly your brand new homemade kite.
