How to Add Multi Colors in Brushes
Adding multiple colors onto a paintbrush can really add that special something to a painting. You can make rainbows quickly and easily.
EditSteps
-
1Take out your paints, brushes, and paper.Ad
-
2You want to use a flat brush, as opposed to fan, round, and other types of brushes.
-
3Put each paint color you want to use on that one flat brush in separate little plates or use a paint palette with "dimples" to keep your paint separated.
-
4Use small brushes to dip into each paint color. Then paint the color onto your flat brush, making sure to saturate the flat brush.
-
5Repeat step 4 for each color you desire to put onto the one brush.
-
6Flip the flat brush over and repeat steps 4 and 5 on the other side, making sure you put each color on the corresponding place.
-
7Start painting with the flat brush and reapply paint as necessary.Ad

EditTips
- If the paints on your flat brush start to run together, make your paint thicker by using less water.
- When you want to use different colors, make sure you clean the flat brush first.
- Complementary colors make brown, so try not to put those colors next to each other: yellow and purple, orange and blue, red and green
