    Scale the picture you intend to use to the intended size of the painting you want to create. Print it out!

    Get some wax paper, a pencil, and the paper that the painting will be going on to.

    Tape the piece of wax paper, shiny side down, on top of the image.

    Trace the image, drawing only the basic lines such as between foreground and background or between other areas of high contrast.

    Remove the wax paper from the image and flip on to the final paper.
