Steps
-
1Start by practicing your ollies until you're pretty good. You don't need massive height. An inch or two should be decent.
-
2Find a low rail to start on.
-
3Ride straight up to the rail.
-
4Do an ollie, but only land the back trucks on the rail.
-
5Grind it to the end.
-
6Slide off of the end.
-
7Practice, practice, practice! Then enjoy your cool new grind.
Tips
- Have fun!
- Avoid doing this like a robot; move fluently like you're really skating.
- Make sure to tighten your trucks so you can maximize your ollie's height and grind hard without them falling off.
- When you're coming off the rail, just push forward a bit to land it. It's really easy.
- Practice landing on the rail correctly before doing the grind.
Warnings
- Don't get mad if you don't get it right away. It took me two years to learn how to ollie.
- Don't let your board go flying away when you ollie up or dismount.
