Wrap your rabbit in the towel and flip it upside down. This activates a nerve on the rabbit's back, making it sleepy.
  3. Cut a Rabbit's Claws Step 3.jpg
    3
Clip the rabbit's nails with the nail clippers. Do so just as you would cut a human's nails, minding the different shape.

EditTips

  • If you cut a nail too short, it may start bleeding. Put some pressure and flour on it. It will stop bleeding soon; take a deep breath and stay calm. Your rabbit will be scared, and will be even more scared if you are not calm.
  • Make sure you don't cut the quick... that is why they bleed.

EditWarnings

  • If your rabbit gets too scared, make sure you give it a break. You would not want it to get sick.
