Method 1 of 3: Bathing

1Pour warm water into a small tub. Then put the rabbit inside it.Ad

2Put a little bit of pet shampoo on the rabbit. Rub the shampoo on them and then rinse the shampoo off.

3Take the rabbit out of the tub. Dry them thoroughly with a towel.

Tips
- If you have a short-haired rabbit, it is a good idea to brush them at least once a week. Brush them daily if they have long fur.
- Rabbits are somewhat like cats in that they clean themselves. Generally, you should only clean them if it is absolutely necessary. Otherwise, they can be left to do that themselves. Brush them when needed, however.
Warnings
- When giving your rabbit a bath, never leave them alone unsupervised in the filled tub, even though rabbits can swim.
- When brushing your rabbit, don't press the brush into the rabbit's body. That might hurt.
- Bathing a rabbit is very stressful for them, as their skin is very sensitive.
- Rabbits can and do have a heart attack if they get too stressed or scared. Only resort to bathing them if their bottom is dirty.
