How to Criticize the Bible
"The Bible refers to the sacred scriptures of Judaism and Christianity. The Hebrew Bible, known by Christians as the Old Testament, contains two-thirds (39 books) of the Christian Bible. The other third (27 books) is known as the New Testament.
The Christian Bible consists of 66 books in two divisions, the Old Testament and the New Testament. The Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox versions of the Old Testament are slightly larger because of their acceptance and inclusion of certain texts considered apocryphal by Protestants." - Wikipedia
Steps
-
1All doctrines start in the Book of Genesis and will be carried throughout scripture. It has been said that a doctrine must be in Genesis, the Historical Books, The poetic books, the Profits and the New Testament.Ad

2Ask God for the spirit of Wisdom and Revelation (Ephesians 1:16-17). If you read the book of Galatians, you will see that Paul got his revelations from God but was almost killed for his beliefs.
- I recommend that you say the prayer in Ephesians 1:16-23 everyday for one year and God will open up your spiritual eyes and reveal marvelous truths to you (Jeremiah 33:3, 2 Corinthians 1:20).
-
3Do a search on the internet for the topic you are studying. You will usually find different views, some true, some not so true and some false.
- Ask the Holy Spirit to teach you (John 14:26, I Corinthians 2:12, I John 2:27).
- Read spiritual books by good authors. Paul said to Timothy to bring the books but especially the scriptures. Even in Paul's day they read books. I recommend that you go to a bookstore and read through a few pages in several books until you find a book that you will get a lot out of before you buy it. Over the past four decades, I have been through thousands of books but read only the best ones.

Tips
- Don't criticize the bible, argue that it does not make sense and many of the ideas are outdated and wrong.
- Say that you accept the other person's views, but do not agree yourself
- Be understanding that they may have a defensive reaction to your beliefs. But there is no reason not to come to an understanding.
