How to Improve in Volleyball
Edited by Vollyballgirl, Harri, Maluniu, Wag15 and 3 others
Volleyball can be a complex sport but to be overall good you need to be good at key concepts. Enjoy!
EditSteps
-
1Learn how, and when, to bump the volleyball. Bumping is one of the most important skills in volleyball. If you are by yourself, bump the ball to yourself or the wall. If you have a partner have them toss it to you or possibly spike it at you.Ad
-
2Practice Setting. Most of the time you will not have to set, but it is a useful skill, especially when setting it for a spiker. Make sure you set it high in case the teammate has to run to the ball.
-
3Make sure you know how to serve! Underhand or overhand, make sure you practice. Practice doesn't make perfect, perfect practice makes perfect precision.
-
4Communicate. When running for a ball you want to call the ball. Most of the time no communication leads to dropped balls, which leads to angry coaches, which leads to substitutions. Make sure that when you call the ball you call it loud saying "Mine!", "Got it!", "I!", ect.Ad
