How to Get Ready in the Morning (for Tweens)
On a normal school day, you probably have to get up pretty early, since there are lots of things to do before you're ready for school. Here's how to manage your morning time effectively!
EditSteps
-
1Every night, set your alarm clock about 1 or 2 hours before you have to leave for school. This will give you adequate time to prepare.
-
2As soon as you hear your alarm, get out of bed! Yep, getting up is hard, but you'll have to get up anyway in order to get ready for school.
-
3Take a shower. This should last no longer than 15 minutes. Wash your hair only every 2-3 days, and girls: shave your legs and armpits as often as you need to.
-
4Eat breakfast. Breakfast is very important, it gives you the energy you need for the day to come, so make sure you eat some proper breakfast.
-
5Wash your face. Use your favourite acne cream or skin cream to make your face nice and clean.
-
6Moisturize. Use some (organic) moisturizing cream in small amounts for soft and smooth skin.
-
7Smell nicely. Spray a light, natural body mist a few times at arm's length and use either deodorant or antiperspirant under your arms.
-
8Get dressed. Most days, a t-shirt and some (skinny) jeans will do perfectly, and when it cools down you can always wear a sweater as well.
-
9Brush your teeth. Use toothpaste and floss to get a clean mouth. It is very important to brush your teeth at least twice a day, but not too soon after having eaten anything, as this might cause damage to the temporarily softened tooth enamel.
-
10Do your hair. First, brush your hair with a large flat brush to get rid of tangles. Then, style your hair. You don't need something elaborate, for girls: a simple bun or a ponytail will do. Tied up in a ribbon, a simple bun can look very cute! Using a straightener or curler could damage your hair, so I recommend only using them once a week.
-
11Lips. There's no need for make-up, but a swipe of lip gloss or balm will prevent and/or cure chapped lips.
-
12Finish up. Do any remaining schoolwork, pack your bag, and if you pack your own lunch, throw it in your lunchbag. Have a nice day!

EditTips
- Instead of deodorant, you could mix salt with water and rub it under your arms once a week to eliminate stink.
