When you want to control someone's presence in your life, one has more civilized choices than to react with force. It is in one's best interest to seek clarity before making regretful mistakes. Stalking is a new phenomena in today's very lonely and conformed setting. The issue of stalking being an actual crime depends solely on whether it is a very dreadful time wasted to immaturely point fingers or if it is a reasonable response to a threat on the victim's life.

Recognize that if no violent threat is involved your own feelings are the only issue. If you do not feel alluded, then there is no evident danger. While you could find a passionate pursuit good or not is based on your nature and unique sensitivity. While you feel unwanted sensations from your experience with this person, the passionate pursuit might in fact be nothing more than a loyal person with zeal, high energy, more free time for their love ones and in fact have mixed feelings about their role in your life.

Ask yourself how you would feel if acquaintances, friends or family would disengage from visiting each other in fear of making their love one feel stalked. There is no one way of measuring stalking and no one opinion on the degree of freedom one should have to see another person. The issue of stalking should be handled with care since there are two people involved with some sort of personal knowledge of one another. A relationship does not end, it accumulates with the passage of time. Each moment two must have an encounter under civilized terms for societal purposes is yet another dynamic of that relationship.

Check your hormones. Most people who make complaints of the nature of harassment are women, yet it has been medically documented that both men and women with hormonal imbalances such as those associated with Diabetes experience emotional issues such as intense anger, mood swings and other nervous problems. It is a good idea to discard any B-6 deficiencies and hormonal imbalance. What you eat and how you spend your time will always be important for your overall mental health. High levels of Lead and Mercury in the body are historically notorious for overt causes of madness. It is a good idea to check your toxicity.

Don't be scared to find a therapist for general purposes. A mental illness is a good thing to diagnose and a better thing to medicate. When it comes to attachment issues there are various therapies that you can seek to better deal with your specific situation. It is best that you understand that if you feel like approaching someone you feel is stalking you, then in that one moment your philosophy is not against stalking because the word has lost its meaning: it was an illusion.

  • You may feel free to log your encounters with the alleged stalker, yet alone it would be concentrating on the negative making the positive lose its value and moral significance (yet, the good memories with this person might still be in your long-term memory.)
  • If you recognize your side of the interactions, including violent outbursts on your part, then it is your moral duty to report yourself along with your alleged victimization. Otherwise, whether consciously or not, your efforts to penalize your alleged offender is a vindictive effort to find morbid gratification from inflicting suffering, vicissitude and humiliation to another human being and compromise that person's crucial role in the lives of others.
  • If you are concerned with being accused of harassment or stalking, a good option is to draw a Relationship Contract where it stipulates that a personal relationship whether non-romantic or of any other nature has the consent of the other person or of both. If the other person is the one with the concern, then you might consider signing such a contract and sending it to the person as a token of good faith.
  • Please, don't commit hate crimes and don't discriminate against people for any reason.
