  1. Get Extra Allowance Step 1.jpg
    1
Be nice to your money supplier: Don't start a fight with them or not listen to them. You get your money from them, so be nice.

Do all of your chores: Don't wait for them to remind you, it makes parents annoyed. They will think that you aren't responsible to do your chores so you won't be responsible enough for a higher allowance.
  3. Get Extra Allowance Step 3.jpg
    3
Do all of your homework on the day you get it: This will mean you have time to do your chores. Your parents will see how mature you are and consider a higher allowance.
  4. Get Extra Allowance Step 4.jpg
    4
Finally, don't tell them straight away, wait until the time is right: Be nice, polite and do your homework and chores for 3 days and then tell them.
  5. Get Extra Allowance Step 5.jpg
    5
Last. but not least: DON'T, I repeat DON'T, just ask your parents upfront for a higher allowance. They are more likely to say no. Follow step 4 so you'll know when the time is right

Tips
Provide Details.
Please be as detailed as possible in your explanation. Don't worry about formatting! We'll take care of it. For example:
Don't say: Eat more fats.
Do say: Add fats with some nutritional value to the foods you already eat. Try olive oil, butter, avocado, and mayonnaise.

EditTips

  • If you can, try to hold your own weight a little, little things, like doing your own laundry and actually cooking (not microwaving, not pouring, cooking) your own meals.
  • Remember, don't just do your chores...do more for extra money.
