    Be mentally hardcore. First we have to get down the mentality of being hardcore, this may be the most difficult step. Let's look at a few examples of how a hardcore person would interact with someone, as opposed to a normal person. Say you ask a normal person how their weekend was. Typical responses would be, "Good", or "Fine, How about yours?". A response from a HARDCORE person would be "Fine, I ravaged a small child." or, "Good, I burnt down several churches." Once you have this down, it becomes much easier. You need to appear to be 'LIVING ON THE EDGE' so to speak.

    Wear clothes that appear 'dirty' and 'un-clean' so that when other people look at you, they think, "That guy is so badass, he doesn't even have to WASH HIS OWN CLOTHES!"

    Work on your hair. Make sure your hair is moderately long, and extremely greasy. DO NOT under any conditions wash your hardcore hair more then twice a month, and even that is pushing it.

    Listen to bands that other people define as "hardcore" such as Dragonforce, Disturbed, Slipknot, and All That Remains.

    Turn it up suckas! When listening to the bands mentioned above, make sure that you turn up your headphones loud enough so that someone sitting on a bench across the street from you would be able to hear it, and clearly.

    Reply accordingly to people questioning your musical volume and taste. If someone asks you why you're listening to your music this loud, simply say, "It's not loud, my hardcore ears can handle anything."
