  • The big white bar near the top of the browser window is called the Omnibox. The Omnibox can be used as both an address bar and a search box. To visit a website just click on the Omnibox, enter the URL (web address) and press enter. To search the web just click on the Omnibox, enter search word(s) and press enter. The default search provider is Google, but that can be changed in options. As you type in the Omnibox a suggestion box drops down offering up to 5 search/URL suggestions, these suggestions change as you type.
  • With Incognito, pages you view won't appear in your browser history or search history, and they won't leave other traces, like cookies, on your computer after you close the incognito window. Any files you download or bookmarks you create will be preserved, however.
