    Take the top sheet of loose leaf and rip the side of it off. Make the strip bigger than the bottom of an unsharpened pencil

    Thread the strip through the top left hole until there is about an inch of paper left at the bottom side.

    Poke a hole in end of the strip (on the bottom side) and push the pencil through (yes, all the way.)

    If it breaks, cut off the broken part and repeat steps 3 and 4

    Thread the strip through the new hole.

    Curl up the extra strip.
