Using shelf liner in your kitchen can protect the wood underneath. It is also easy to remove when you want to change it to a new design or if it gets permanently soiled. It only takes an hour or two to line your shelves once you purchase the product.

    Calculate the amount of liner you will need by measuring your shelves. The measurements do not have to be precise; a rough estimate will work.

    Choose your liner material. They come in plastic, coated paper, or cork mats or other materials. You can get adhesive-backed liner that will stick in place.
