Tips
Provide Details.
Please be as detailed as possible in your explanation. Don't worry about formatting! We'll take care of it. For example:
Don't say: Eat more fats.
Do say: Add fats with some nutritional value to the foods you already eat. Try olive oil, butter, avocado, and mayonnaise.

EditTips

  • Sharpen your writing skills. When writing the message about why you want to become a moderator, good grammar and spelling is important. It's also important to have good writing skills when writing FAQs and reviews, since an FAQ or review may be rejected if it's written badly.
  • When writing topics, make sure to keep on-topic and write one that's interesting. If a topic is interesting, it'll be more likely to get a lot of replies.
  • If you're posting on Poll of the Day, the most important rule of the board is not to talk about the poll, despite the name of the board implying that the board is about the poll.
  • Learn a foreign language. Good GameFAQs moderators are ones that have various skills, including the ability to speak multiple languages.
  • Don't bug the moderators. This will give you a negative reputation, and make you less likely to be chosen as a moderator yourself.
  • If you don't want to gain attention from becoming a moderator, you can request to become a Secret Moderator, where the moderator powers will be given to another account that you create.

EditWarnings

  • If you don't meet any of the requirements, you won't be able to apply again for 45 days. Make sure you meet the requirements before applying.
