This is a fun little kids' project for Thanksgiving. With just a hanger, some paper and scissors, you can make a turkey napkin holder for that Thanksgiving feast!

    Cut the piece of construction paper into the shape of a turkey's "tail" or "train" as shown. It should take up the whole piece of construction paper.

    Trace the shape you just cut and on another piece of construction paper, trace it, and cut it out so that now you have two shapes.

    Make the turkey's head. Cut a piece that looks like a turkey's head and neck.

    Do the same thing you did with the tail feathers. Grab another piece of construction paper and put the head on it. Trace and cut. You now have two turkey heads.

    Take some time now to color all of your shapes. Be sure to make a beak on your head and also an eye. Since you have two of each piece, both of them have to be exactly the same, because you will be stapling these together soon.

    Take your wire hanger (make sure it is thin wire so it is easy to bend) and bend your hanger as pictured.

    Now that your wire is bent, take your shapes and staple the tail with the other tail shape, and the head with the other head shape. Do not staple the bottom because you are going slip these onto the hanger. Staple where the red is on the pictures.

    Slip the head where the hanger hook is. Try to weave it so it can fit. Make sure the hook does not poke the turkey's head. Staple or tape the bottom of the head/neck so that it cannot slip off the hanger.

    Slip the tail feathers on the other end of the hanger. Staple or tape the bottom so that it does not slip off.
