Non-standard
This feature is not on a current W3C standards track, but it is supported on the Firefox OS platform. Although implementations may change in the future and it is not supported widely across browsers, it is suitable for use in code dedicated to Firefox OS apps.
This API is available on Firefox OS for internal applications only.
Summary
Provides support for dialing, answering, and managing phone calls on a device with telephony support.

Telephony.active -
A
TelephonyCallobject indicating the call that is currently active. The active call is the one receiving input from the microphone and any tones generated using theTelephony.startTone()method. -
Telephony.calls -
An array of
TelephonyCallobjects, one for each call that is currently connected. -
Telephony.muted -
Set to
trueto mute the microphone orfalseto enable the microphone. -
Telephony.speakerEnabled -
Set to
trueto enable the speakerphone functionality orfalseto disable it.

A handler for the
callschangedevent; thisCallEventevent is sent whenever thecallslist changes. -
Telephony.onincoming -
A handler for the
incomingevent; thisCallEventis sent whenever a new call is incoming.
Methods

Telephony.dial() - Dials the specified phone number, which is specified as a string.

Telephony.startTone() - Begins generating the specified DTMF tone.

Telephony.stopTone() - Stops generating the currently sounding DTMF tone.

This is a non standard implementation, but it is discussed at W3C as part of the System Application Working Group.
