iPhone: About Emergency Alerts for Japan
Learn about about the emergency alerts available in Japan for your iPhone. Alert information is provided by either the Japan Meteorological Agency or the Japanese government.
Depending on which model iPhone you have and which version of iOS you are using, you may have access to earthquake alerts, tsunami alerts, and other disaster information. Refer to these tables to find out which types of alerts are available to you:

Enabling and disabling emergency alerts
- Tap Settings > Notification Center.
- Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and find Emergency Alerts.
- Tap on or off.
