1Find a program that can check your opened or closed ports. They can be downloadable ones such as the one found on http://portforward.com/. They also can be checked upon websites, such as http://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/.

2Assuming that you already know your IP address, simply enter it in where ever it asks you to. Then, fill in the ports you want to check.

3Unlike port forwarding, which requires you to find out what type of router you have before setting it up, port checking only requires you to enter your IP and port. Your IP address can be found on http://www.ipchicken.com/
