EditSteps
-
1Brush your teeth. You wouldn't want last night's dinner stuck in your teeth. Dental hygiene is a must anyways- also, remember that you must try and appear above whoever your 'victim' is. Flossing is a good way to keep your teeth clean and chunk-free, and mint flavored ones will freshen your breath a little. Keep some floss in your bag, along with a pack of toothpicks and some mints.
-
2Slightly raise a corner of your top lip, almost to the point where your canine tooth is showing. Not the corner touching your cheek, but the bump just below your nostril. This will give you a look of utter distaste and disgust. Complete the look with a furrowed brow and narrowed eyes, or even one eyebrow raised for a "Seriously?" kind of look. Bug out your eyes if you want this type of look.
-
3Make sure only your top lip is raised so that you're not smirking. A smirk is a satisfied half smile, but you aren't going for the happy, sly look. Practice in the mirror for maximum effects.

EditTips
- If you are prone to smiling, practice a little extra.
Only sneer when you are sad, angry, distraught, or looking to faze some annoying person. Sneering gives you a little more confidence, and by doing so, you may drain some one else's.
EditWarnings
- Some people who have never heard of a sneer may take it to offense if you sneer at them.
- A sneer isn't just a scornful facial expression, it's also a rude tone of voice.
- Remember, good communication skills are usually a better approach to get an idea across then looking down on someone else by sneering. Most people don't want to change their opinions or actions when they feel they are being attacked. (Even if they do change them, it doesn't mean they WANT to, which would be letting you "win").
- A sneer can mean you have a fight on the hands if you do it to the wrong person. It might be a good idea to only sneer when you are playing around with your friends or something like that.
