How to Use Libreoffice
LibreOffice was made by some of former OpenOffice.org developers to replace it. It is a free office suite published by The Document Foundation. It is a good alternative to Apache OpenOffice, OpenOffice.org (discontinued), Microsoft Office, Microsoft Office 365, Kingsoft Office, and other office suites. This tutorial shows you how to use LibreOffice.
EditSteps
-
1Download and install LibreOffice. Downloading at the official website is highly recommended.
- Open a web browser.
- In the address bar, Awesome Bar, or omnibar, type "http://www.libreoffice.org/".
- Click the big green "Download Now" button.
- Use the installer.
-
2Explore the program. Try this and try that, they're safe!
-
3Read the complete LibreOffice user guides at the documentation section of their official website. It is available as an ODT file, a PDF, or as a printed copy. The printed copy isn't free, unlike the ODT and PDF files. ODT files can only be opened with word processors such as Microsoft Office, Apache OpenOffice, LibreOffice, or OpenOffice.org.
-
4If your question was not answered, you can use the "Community Support" sub-section of the "Get Help" section of their website. That HTML page offers lots of ways to get help, like the documentations, the LibreOffice online application help, mailing lists, Ask.LibreOffice, its wiki, their Nabble gateway, and their IRC channel (#libreoffice).
We could really use your help!
