Make your invitations. You can make them on the computer or buy them. If you make them, give them a special twist. For example, for a pirate-themed party, you could:
    • Put them in the microwave to make them look dirty and old.
    • Make the invitations look like a treasure chest with a flap for the lid to the chest. Write the party information under the flap.
  3. Plan a Party (for Tweens) Step 3.jpg

Hand out your invitations at least one week before your party.
  4. Plan a Party (for Tweens) Step 4.jpg

Prepare for the party. After everyone has responded to the RSVP, buy your supplies and decorations. If you are hosting a party outside of your home, make sure you make all the necessary arrangements.

Plan your games and food then a few days before your party buy the food and games. For example, you can set up video games, board games, and pizza for food and games!

Get all your decorations and supplies ready. On the morning of the party, hang the decorations and such.

EditTips

  • When choosing music, try picking dance pop or synth pop. It also helps when the songs are familiar to your guests. A lot of these songs play on mainstream radio and you could even check out some Top 100 charts online. Make sure you use the clean versions of songs.
  • For games, try to have a treasure hunt or some other game requiring kids to look everywhere for things. It's a lot of fun.
  • You can combine themes if wished, for example, a Hollywood and pirate party together and make it a pirate premiere.
  • Ask your friend to help out with planning your party.

EditWarnings

  • Remember to ask your parents or you will get into trouble inviting kids over without their permission.
  • Don't invite lots of people or things will get crazy and it is harder to be a good host with everyone.
