We all enjoy our pets (specifically, cats and dogs), how about we create something that lets them enjoy us? By building a maze, you can create something beautiful for your pets. Follow these steps to build a maze for your pets (two of them at least, or more than two if you have more than one of each)!

EditSteps

  1. 1
Fold the cardboard pieces at 90 degree angles and tape them together in the shape of a maze using the tape. You can do diagonal mazes, or bend the cardboard at angles of more OR less than 90 degrees if you are interested in creating some trickier territories.
    • The scissors can be used if you want to cut the boxes at all into something a little more unique. Sometimes it's fun to cut the boxes in the shape of mountains and then color in the mountains and sky on a box because it makes kitties and puppies feel like they are on a nice hike or something like that. I sometimes like to stick bowls of water in the maze in case your cat/dog gets thirsty, plus it can seem like a pond!
  2. 2
Scatter treats for your pet along the length of the maze. This will make your dog and cat feel appreciated for all their hard work. Dogs and cats both like tuna, so try placing a bit of tuna along the path. Make sure it's water packed tuna, not oil packed, for the sake of your floor!
  3. 3
Maybe add a few jumps (dog) or tunnels.
  4. 4
If you are working with a cat, try spraying a catnip spray on the boxes or add some "vespers boxes"

Tips
Provide Details.
Please be as detailed as possible in your explanation. Don't worry about formatting! We'll take care of it. For example:
Don't say: Eat more fats.
Do say: Add fats with some nutritional value to the foods you already eat. Try olive oil, butter, avocado, and mayonnaise.

EditTips

  • It's fun to let both your pets in the maze at once so that they can really learn how to solve problems together. The neurons in the hippocampi of the feline and canine brain can shoot at similar rates, thus enhancing and enriching the experience.
  • You may want to do this outside, so that your house doesn't smell.

EditWarnings

  • You might get in trouble with your parents if you don't ask them first
  • Your house might smell. (If you do this in your house)
  • Dogs and cats are different.

EditThings You'll Need

  • Lots of cardboard boxes
  • Scissors/knife ( not serrated)
  • Tape, like masking or duct
