    Get Your firework(s) and place it in a clear area away from trees and other material that could catch fire.

    Light the fuse with a match or a lighter. If you have a 'punk' for lighting fireworks, that is even better.

    After it is lit, depending on how big your rocket is, you would have maybe 30 seconds to get away without blowing your hand off.

    Once it's lit and your fun is over, wait a little while until the firework is cooled off and pick it up and throw it away.
