Knowing how to convert different units of time can be fairly helpful in certain situations. One of these conversions is from seconds to hours, which in all probability will most likely be seen in academic situations or when calculating the speed/velocity of an object in units (miles, kilometers, etc.).

EditSteps

  1. 1
Take any number of seconds and divide by 60; this will give you the number of minutes.                              Ex: 360 seconds/60=6 minutes
  2. 2
Take the resulting number of minutes and divide by 60 again; this will give you the number of hours. Ex: 6 minutes/60=1/10 or .1 hours.

Tips
Provide Details.
Please be as detailed as possible in your explanation. Don't worry about formatting! We'll take care of it. For example:
Don't say: Eat more fats.
Do say: Add fats with some nutritional value to the foods you already eat. Try olive oil, butter, avocado, and mayonnaise.

EditTips

  • You can turn this into one step by simply dividing the number of seconds by 3600 to get the number of hours. (1/60*1/60=1/3600)

EditWarnings

  • Make sure to check your answer, simple computational errors are very common and can be easily avoided by double checking.
