thank you!(5x) so much ma'am!!! this really means more to me! so much more! I know I haven't been writing any articles this couple of months ago but I'm sure I will try to write another one. This is going to be my inspiration in writing more articles someday. Since it's going to be our midterm exam this coming Wednesday, I'm afraid I can't write any articles for this week. but i 'll try my best to get back on shape in wiki how. God, this is such a privileged for me...a high honor! I will try to become an active member in this community as long as there are people who encourage amateur writers to become good ones. thanks a lot! this is such an honor! (p.s I felt like crying while reading this)

Yes. yes...that's true ma'am. Actually I have already written two novels. Though the other one is still unfinished. I'm still planning to write a third sequel about it. I hope people might appreciate my works when I start printing them. Besides writing, I also have a strong passion for music; so most of the topics I write in my blog is all about music trivia and the like. Right now, I'm still thinking of what article to write; but somehow, my imagination isn't working that much. It could take me days or even weeks to write another article. But somehow, I believe I'll pull through...somehow.

I'm really sorry about that sir. But anyways, thank you for the helpful tip. I always wanted to be a novelist, musician and a fine painter. But I know it will come a long way before I realize that. And this time, I'll try to finish my 2nd novel before I start writing with the third one. It's actually a horror-romance-suspense novel. I can't wait to end it. I'm also currently writing a novel about a musician's journey in the music industry. It's a "1st person narration" kind of format. I'm also going to wrap that up too. With these two novels circling around my mind, I can't concentrate on which one to end. hahahaha....seems I'm going hysterical here. Anyways, thank you for that helpful tip sir. Right now, I think I'm going to patrol some recent changes in some articles here. Maybe I could put my editorial skills to use...somehow.

That exactly describes my first experience editing on Wikihow, found an article on how to stay safe during riots giving really good pointers on how to end up in the hospital is on this site yesterday, and now i'm stuck editing more...relaxing stuff ^^

It was great well it lasted, but it got cut short because the power went out and never turned back on :o! Ellen Hopkins is by far my favorite author! Impulse is, like, my third favorite book by her. I think Crank is probably my favorite, then Identical. But it's all a matter of opinion :) When are you gonna finish that article for me to boost? I've been wating forever :)

I know you are working hard boosting articles, but you need to be more picky. I just reviewed an article you gave a rising star and FAC to: It was wrought with comma splice errors, run-on sentences and sentenc e fragments. The article was by Jordan. I was looking at the article because Jordan had edited an article I wrote (a couple of years ago) and left it the same way. I see he is now an administrator, but you need to know that his grammar and punctuation usage is lousy. I do not claim to be perfect, but his would gain an "F" from any teacher.

I know, but you gave a "Rising Star" to a substandard article. When you give the "rising star" too easily, you cheapen the meaning. My last four have rising stars. They put that one to shame.

Read what the rising star award says, "... has been selected as a Rising Star, which means it is an exceptionally high quality new article."

It's an honor to help out with this project any way I can.

You will need to change it back to the default. I'm sure your color scheme was made in completely good faith, but ultimately it was easiest to just make a blanket policy rather than decide what is and isn't readable on specific pages.

Nonetheless, you can add colorful borders, fun images, text, links, and whatnot as long as the text of messages isn't obscured. There are tons of ways to still customize and spice up your talk page!

Let me make this clear: Rising stars are BY DEFINITION exceptionally high quality articles. That article I was speaking of was not exceptionally high quality. In fact, every English teacher I ever had would give it an "F" for its grammar and punctuation.

Yes, it is an ego boost, or it was. How can I get an ego boost for an award that is also given for poor quality? My last four articles earned "Rising Stars" because I endeavored to make them high quality. Putting a rising star on a poor quality article doesn't improve the article. It does reinforce the poor practices of the writer.

By the way, that was not a new writer. He is an administrator. He got there because people rewarded his poor grammar.

Hey! Thanks for the suggestion. There's a link to the Writer's Guide in the wikiHow tour; we decided to leave the Writer's Guide link out of the welcome message because there are so many people who aren't interested in starting new articles (they'd prefer to edit) and also because we found that if we include a link to one policy, we end up finding reasons to include a link to every policy, and then it becomes an overwhelming link directory that no one reads. I hope this makes sense!

I thought that would be helpful... I have that problem ALL the time lol :P and also, it works because I've tried it multiple times. I ALWAYS test things out before I publish them! Do you have any suggestions for another article I could write?

Hey, I have quite a complicated problem here. I joined wikiHow in March 2012. And when I get any talk page message, there's an alert on top of the page (quite normal) BUT, when I click on that, It leads me to a page of some user called 'Mom'. AND, u boosted my article 'Stop eating ice-cream' , right? So, I went to the discussion page of that article and guess what, it's written that the article was made by 'Mom'. The catch is, 'Mom' arrived sometime in 2008 and i arrived just a few months back! I think there is some sort of error with user names, could u solve it? If not, tell someone to solve it?

But you haven't added a reason most of the time. Although we don't require adding a reason, it's a good practice to be in, as this makes it easy for others to understand why you deleted it, and for other admins to review your work.
