How to Create a Personal Sandbox on wikiHow

EditSteps

1Click on your Username at the upper right of any page.Ad

2Type “/sandbox” or “/testbox” at the end of the URL in the Address Bar at the top of your page.

3Press the Enter button of your keyboard.
- A message will appear to say: "This is your currently empty User page."
- However, your original User page content is still saved.

4Click on the Edit tab at the top of your User page.

5Practice editing.

6Click on Preview, at the bottom of the article, to review your changes.

7Click on Publish, at the bottom of the article, if you wish to save your changes.
- If you do not want everyone to view your practice page, do not click on Publish.
- Anyone can view a published page by clicking on the History tab at the top of a page.

8Remove “/sandbox&action=edit” or “/testbox&action=edit” from the end of the URL in the Address Bar at the top of your User's Edit page.

9Click on the Enter button of your keyboard to navigate away from the page.
- You should be back to your original User page.

- For templates, simply type {{User:YourUsername/NAME OF TEMPLATE}} into the URL bar at the top of your User page.
