How to Run Up and Over a Wall
It happens in action movies all the time. In an intense chase scene, the hero deftly gets away by running up and over a wall. Have you ever wanted to do that? This article may help you!
EditSteps
-
1Start working out regularly if you are not already. This is extremely important, as you will not be able to get over the wall if you do not have enough strength and fitness.Ad
-
2Find an adequate wall. The wall should be sturdy and a little bit taller than yourself. If the wall is too tall, you won't be able to get over it.
-
3Before you start practicing, warm up the muscles you will be using. For this stunt, you should workout your leg muscles and your core.
-
4Start running towards the wall. This is no casual stroll. You need to get a high amount of momentum going. If you need to get better speed, see How to Run Faster.
-
5As soon as you are close enough to the wall, jump high and push the toe your foot into the wall. This is where your first practice ends. Push back off the wall and on the ground/floor.
-
6Continue practicing until you feel ready for the next step.
-
7When you feel ready, do what you did in step five. As soon as you push the toe of your foot into the wall, swing your other leg quickly up higher and push the toe of that foot into the wall. Now, take the leg you started with off the wall.
-
8Put the leg you started with on top of the wall. If you picked a good wall, you should be able to do this easily. Do not stop! Use your continued momentum to push yourself off the wall.
-
9Continue practicing your new skill once you have learned it. This ability may be very useful to you someday!Ad
