How to Be a Sidekick
It's for those who want to be in the spotlight, but without the pressure. For the ones who want to stand in the shadow of greatness. For the Robins to the Batman's. The Katos to the Green Hornets.
Steps
-
1Alright, so first you have to want to be a sidekick. You have to have the right attitude. Be a person who doesn't crave attention or want to show off excessively. Also, you must not have a jealous tendency.Ad

2Find someone worthy to follow. It doesn't have to be a superhero or someone with outstanding superpowers. It can be someone whose principles you admire or someone whose deeds you want to support, be it fighting evil or planting trees.
-
3Follow that person around. Do as they do, but only if they do it first.
-
4Continue following this person until your movements have become fluid and you are both of one mind. You will know because you will be able to complete his or her sentences and be able to predict his or her moves. Thus, you have become a successful and invaluable sidekick.AdAd

Tips
- In the presence of others, do not say much, if anything at all. Let your hero/heroine do the talking. If there is anything you disagree with, DO NOT speak your mind while others are present as this may seriously undermine the authority of your hero/heroine. You may speak in earnest when in private.
- If appropriate, wear complementary clothing/costumes. It may even involve a logo. Wear this with pride.
Warnings
- Under no circumstances should you sidekick for more than one person at a time. This is on par with promising to go to the prom with more than one girl -- a serious no-no and gesture of disrespect.
- Know when and when not to rescue your hero. Stealing of the hero's thunder can be a serious faux pas.
- Being around the same person may grind your nerves -- both for the sidekick and for the hero/heroine. You can respect each other's space by setting aside time apart to be arranged according to your needs.
