Mini Machine Topper Ironing Board

There are very few things that sound less appealing to me than ironing. Very few things! However, sometimes a little bit of pressing can take a blouse from slovenly to sensational in just seconds, so I started thinking of ways to simplify this task. The more simple something is, the more likely we’re all likely… Read more »

Recycled Junk Mail Envelopes

It seems no matter how many times I try and simplify the online bill process there are still a handful of bills that come every week in snail mail. Since we pay the bills online the return envelopes usually end up in the trash. Rather than keep wasting paper, I decided to recycle these envelopes in… Read more »

No one prepares you for how much your life changes when you have a child. There is nothing better, in my opinion, than having this new little person become the focus of your life. Birth Order And What It Says About You

“Oh you must be spoiled.” How I hated hearing those words when I was younger! The presumption that I was spoiled, attention-seeking, easily distracted… all as a result of being the baby of the family, always got me so riled up. Indignant, I always thought, I was never that way. I was the one exception… Read more »

About The Chic

Back in 2004 when I was looking to name my events company, I stumbled across the word 'Chic' in an old dictionary. The definition was: “a fashionable lifestyle, ideology, or pursuit”. I fell in love with the word and the idea that chic is the pursuit of something better, prettier, or cooler than you are today. Chic isn’t a state of being or even a destination, chic is the journey you take on the way to something greater. ~Rachel
