Olympic Gold Medal Cupcakes

When I was a little kid, I thought I would grow up to be a world famous figure skater.  I first saw Kristi Yamaguchi skate in the World Championships when I was in kindergarten.  With my tights on, I would dance around the house, gliding around our marble floors.  I’d have my little brother drag… Read more »

I happen to love this particular quote so I couldn’t help eavesdropping, er, I mean, overhearing their conversation.   At first I thought they were loving on the idea too… I mean, what could be more motivating than the… Read more »

Monograms In Design

Monograms are nothing new; though while they’ve traditionally been a Southern thing they are classically elegant and beautifully stylish!  I basically believe, when in doubt…put a monogram on it!  Take a cue from designer, Holly Mathis.  What better way to welcome guests not just during the holidays but year round!   Give a plain lamp shade… Read more »

About The Chic

Back in 2004 when I was looking to name my events company, I stumbled across the word 'Chic' in an old dictionary. The definition was: “a fashionable lifestyle, ideology, or pursuit”. I fell in love with the word and the idea that chic is the pursuit of something better, prettier, or cooler than you are today. Chic isn’t a state of being or even a destination, chic is the journey you take on the way to something greater. ~Rachel
