The Embassy of the United States of America, and the Paraguayan American Binational Center (CCPA), present the "La Ruta Mangoreana" which in English can be translated as “the Mangorean Route.” The weeklong tour will honor the greatest Paraguayan guitarist of all times, Agustin Pio Barrios, affectionately known as “Mangoré”.

Yesterday there was a press conference at the Agustin Barrios Gallery in the CCPA to announce the upcoming concerts and mater classes.  All performances and classes will have the exclusive participation of the American classical guitarist Tony Morris and flutist Renata Green.  Renowned local artists Luz Maria Bobadilla, Felipe Sosa, and Lito Barrios will also participate in various parts of the program.

Tony Morris’s presence is made possible by the Cultural Envoy Program of the U.S. Department of State working in conjunction with the U.S. Embassy and the CCPA.
