How to Post a Job on Ivory Standard
Ivory Standard is a new online job board available to all U.S. visitors. It combines the best features of Craigslist, SnagAJob.com, and other industry leaders. This article explains how to post an ad on Ivory Standard.
EditSteps
-
1Go to Ivory Standard.Ad
-
2Click the "Post A Job Ad" link on the left floating toolbar.
-
3Select up to two categories and enter a title and description. (NOTE: A fee applies for a second category.)
-
4Input the location of the position you're advertising in the geographical information section. To do that, start typing the name of your city and select a suggestion from the list that pops up.
-
5Select a geographic reach in the same section. Local (the cheapest) means you advertise to everyone within a certain radius (5-60 miles) of your city. Statewide means you advertise to the whole state. Nationwide (the costliest) advertises to all U.S. users.
-
6If you are advertising a job fair or an open call, indicate it in the "Posting Type" section and fill out the details accordingly. The geographic location of the job fair has no impact on the cost.
-
7Review the flags in the descriptor section and set all the ones that apply. None of them are mandatory, but they can help you make your ad more descriptive. If you are planning to hire someone immediately, check off the appropriate box in the "Position Info" section.
-
8Input your contact e-mail. This is where you'll be getting the responses.
-
9Select the e-mail address that would be displayed to the public. By default, it will be something like [email protected], but you can pick a custom one like, [email protected]. Similarly, you can use your actual e-mail address, but that's not recommended.
-
10Click Next, review your details, pay for your ad, and click Finish.
-
11Check your e-mail for the link to the Control Panel. When you get there, you can edit the ad. When you're ready to display it to the public, click the activate button.
-
12Sit back and wait for responses.Ad
