Beamdog is a digital distribution platform. Beamdog facilitates the purchase, download and updating of software. Beamdog was founded by Trent Oster, BioWare co-founder and Cameron Tofer, former BioWare lead programmer.[1] The service was launched in July 2010.[2]
Overhaul Games[edit]
Overhaul games is a division of Beamdog. Originally Overhaul Games was a part of Beamdog, but following the release of MDK2 Wii had been formed to work on MDK2 HD.[1] The name Overhaul Games was made to reflect the companies work on MDK2 HD as they had overhauled the game into a next generation game. The team recently released Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition, an overhaul of Baldur's Gate.[3][4]
Games[edit]
Though Beamdog mainly publishes games to its website, its developing division Overhaul Games has developed games for Beamdog, while the actual Beamdog team has developed a game itself.
