Two Methods:Updating from the PhoneUpdating using Samsung Kies

From time to time, Samsung will release over-the-air (OTA) updates for the Galaxy S that have the ability to correct certain known issues and enhance the user experience. If you should fail to receive the latest OTA update, you can either check for updates directly from your phone or download the newest update manually using the Samsung Kies application.

Method 1 of 2: Updating from the Phone

    Tap on “Menu” from the home screen of your Samsung Galaxy S.

Method 2 of 2: Updating using Samsung Kies

    Navigate to the Samsung Kies download page at http://www.samsung.com/in/support/usefulsoftware/KIES/JSP on your Windows or Mac computer.

    Select the option to download the Samsung Kies app for your Windows or Mac computer as specified in the left sidebar.
