"You can be sure that the American spirit will prevail over this tragedy." - General Colin Powell
The essence of the American spirit...I can. General Powell was as right then as it is now. We can prevail. We can overcome. Our goal is to help students and communities overcome disaster before it happens and prepare them for life's challenges so they can overcome those adversities they do face.
Never Forget Foundation provides students with public safety speakers across the United States about 9/11 and other disasters. We focus on the lessons to overcome challenge focusing on family, teamwork, and pursuing your passion to success.
Economists tell us that the economy of 2014 is as tough as any has ever been. Never Forget Foundation is developing career programs to further develop young minds in the areas of public safety by offering community response coursework including ACLS, PALS, PEPP, and PHTLS.
The Captain has arrived...
Follow us on Twitter! If we reach 500 Followers by September 30 we are giving away a Derek Jeter Autographed All Star Game baseball.
Never Forget Foundation is hoping to add a scholarship program in the next five years. These scholarships would support students who have overcome personal challenges on their way to college. If you are able please consider helping NFF with this goal by contributing via Paypal. Contributions can be sent via email to [email protected]. We appreciate your support of this endeavor.
Do you remember?
Where were you on the morning of September 11th, 2001? For many children too young to remember or even be alive, September 11 means very little. Never Forget Foundation was created after the tenth anniversary of the tragedy in New York, Virginia, and Pennsylvania when two members of the Fire Departmen of New York, a responder to the attack on the Pentagon, and three US Navy SEALs threw out the first pitch at the New York Yankees versus Los Angeles Angels game.
There were numerous calls for autographs of the firefighters to sign baseballs and other material for people in the stands when the question came up "how much do these kids even know about that day?" That was the start of a decision to start a non-profit that would reach out to kids who needed coaching and mentoring to help get through their day or week, provide tutoring, and hopefully establish a scholarship fund for students who had overcome significant challenges.
Since its inception in early 2012, Never Forget Foundation (NFF) has wanted to focus in three areas.
Never Forget Foundation is currently attempting to meet requests for speakers in the MidWest this year, focused in and around the area of Kansas City, Missouri.
While all requests can not be honored, we are trying our best given our short time. We do encourage those who want to help though can do so by eating out at Buffalo Wild Wings. Locations participating include:
September 10, 2014
September 11, 2014
Buffalo Wild Wings has graciously offered us 10% of their sales those days for people who eat there and present the flyer or mention our fundraiser as part of their Eat Wings/Raise Funds.
