How to Toggle Between the Reading Progress Views of a Book on an Amazon Kindle Fire
If you've ever read a book on an Amazon Kindle Fire and wanted to know what location you are on, and noticed at the bottom of the screen it says "time left in the chapter" or some other text, you are probably wondering, "How can this text be changed?" This article will describe how you can change this text so it reads more to your comfort level.

1Open a book on your Kindle Fire.

2Look down at the bottom-left corner of the screen. If this is the first time you are reading a book, your default reading progress view will be set to "time left in the chapter".

3Tap this corner on this text once to change it to "time left in the book".

4Tap it one more time to mention what page you are on of the manual book the book corresponds to (if page numbers from the publisher are available).

5Tap the area one more time to mention the location number of the book you are currently at.

6Leave this area set to whatever information you'll want to see. Tapping this button one more time will cycle you through the reading progress views one more time, from "time left in chapter" onwards again.

- Currently, there is no way to make that area clear of any text. Amazon makes it clear they want you to know these details.

- Sometimes, after sharing a passage in the book and heading back to the passage on the book's page(and with the data set to a Reading Speed information, your Reading Progress information will wipe away to show Learning Reading Speed and not show the corresponding data. Be aware that you will have to cycle through a page (and back again one page to adjust the text so it shows the Reading Speed number once again
