Have you ever wanted to save those poor shelter animals at an adoption event, but you don't know how to organize it? Find all your pet problems solved here!

EditSteps

  1. 1
Talk to your mayor, shelter and whoever is working on the festival, yard, sale etc. Make sure it is okay with them.
  2. 2
Find a good place with a large table and walkway to show the animals. If they will be in their crates, make sure they have fresh food, water, bedding and toilet area.
  3. 3
Explain which breed, age and name of each animal is. Tell people they may rename the animal if they please.
  4. 4
Care for each animal, hand out flyers of good places to shop for supplies for their new pal and have a donation can to put money in.
  5. 5
You may also want to sell water and soda so you can donate profits to the shelter.

Tips
Provide Details.
Please be as detailed as possible in your explanation. Don't worry about formatting! We'll take care of it. For example:
Don't say: Eat more fats.
Do say: Add fats with some nutritional value to the foods you already eat. Try olive oil, butter, avocado, and mayonnaise.

EditTips

  • Don't harass people to adopt, they may walk away in a huff or will make a decision that they haven't thought over and may abandon the animal again.

EditWarnings

  • Don't threaten people to give money or tell them they will regret not adopting or anything rash or scary like that, it could get you arrested.
