Click on link to the forum that best suits your needs and start posting. The forums include:
    • Help Using wikiHow: Discuss how to solve almost any problem on wikiHow with other editors.
    • Village Pump: A place to discuss the wikiHow project, read our latest news, propose new ideas, and discuss various aspects of the community with other contributors.
    • Collaboration Corner: Discuss how to work together with other members of the wikiHow community to get things done.
    • New Category Suggestions: Suggest proposals for new categories.
    • General Chat: A forum where you can have off-topic discussions about (almost) anything you like. Get to know your fellow community members here, as you discuss whatever interests you. This includes the Introduce Yourself thread, where you can introduce yourself to the community and meet other wikiHow authors.
    • Bug Reports: Help improve wikiHow by reporting bugs and sharing technical feedback here.
    • Forum Games: Play fun forum games with other wikiHow contributors on this forum.

Follow these tips for good forum etiquette:
    • Avoid creating multiple threads about the same topic.
    • Avoid creating duplicate topics by looking over the topics in the forum you are using before creating a new one.
    • Try to make your topics as informative as possible. It's much more helpful if your topic is How to Upload an Image than if is "Need help plz!!!"
    • Familiarize yourself with wikiHow's Forum Dialog Expectations before posting.

If you want to make a discussion click the blue rectangle button that says "Start a New Discussion." Choose a name, and find the section to put it in. General Chat is for threads, Village Pump is for updates, Collaboration Corner is for editing, and help using wikiHow is as its name implies. Write a summary for your discussion (optional).
    • Note that anonymous users cannot make discussions or post comments.

Post. Posting on forums is easy. They will be a salmon colored box where you can post. Write what you want to say and click "Post Discussion".

Add images to the forums. If you want to report a bug, it would be helpful if you provide an screenshot (or in some cases, screencast). Follow the steps given below.
    • Right-click the image you want to post, and select "Open Image In New Tab". The URL image that the image will open under, is the image link. It will usually end under either jpg. or .png. Sometimes, gif. Copy that and then you type this: <img src="http//www./Image/Ex.jpg"> Paste your image URL in the place of http://www./Image/Ex.jpg, but remember to leave the quotation marks in.
    • You can also copy Image URL directly.

Tips
Provide Details.
Please be as detailed as possible in your explanation. Don't worry about formatting! We'll take care of it. For example:
Don't say: Eat more fats.
Do say: Add fats with some nutritional value to the foods you already eat. Try olive oil, butter, avocado, and mayonnaise.

EditTips

  • If you have a comment about a specific article, you should place your comment on that article's discussion page. The purpose of the forums is not to discuss individual articles, it is to talk about more general concerns.
  • The forums are a great way to become more involved in the community and to keep up with changes and other developments at wikiHow.
  • Remember to make your posts in the appropriate forum for your needs. It's much more helpful to post a technical problem in the "Tech Feedback" forum than in the "Village Pump" forum.

EditWarnings

  • Remember that the forums are an extension of wikiHow. Same rules apply; Be civil, assume good faith, and actually try to be kind to your fellow editors.
  • Before you get onto somebody about not assuming good faith, try assuming good faith about that person.
  • Don't bump old threads on the Forums.
  • Don't use profanity or discuss about vulgar topics.
  • Do not advertise in the forums about things not related to wikiHow.
