How to Delete an Email in Google Inbox
Google Inbox's focus is on three categories of emails/reminders: pinned (those you're still working on), snoozed (those you've set to reactivate later), and done (those you've completely handled and finished with). But what happens if you want to delete an email or reminder altogether?
Steps
-
1Consider just not deleting it. While the traditional Gmail app has an obvious trash can button for deletions, Google Inbox doesn't. Google's aim here seems to be that you keep all your emails and reminders either pinned in your inbox, snoozed, or marked done.
- Since most people find they don't run out of storage in Gmail, you may just want to abandon your deletion habits and mark any email you want to get rid of "done," instead.

2Click on the email. If you do want to delete it altogether, the first step is to open it up from your inbox or folder.
-
3Select the three dots in the right-hand corner of the email.
-
4Look under the Move to menu and hit Trash. It has a picture of a trash can next to it. Inbox will then move the email to Trash for you.Ad

Tips
- If you hit the trash button by mistake, you can look at the bottom of your screen for the confirmation message. It has an option to "undo" your action; click this right away to keep the email where it was.
- If you want to locate emails you've previously put in the trash, click on the main Inbox menu button in the left-hand top corner (three horizontal lines). Then scroll down to Trash and select it. This will open your list of trashed emails.
- To restore an email from the Trash folder, click on it, hit the three dots button for Move to options, and select Remove from Trash. The email will go back to where it was before.
