How to Put on a Football Uniform
This will instruct you on how to "gear up" for an American Football game
Steps
-
1Check your equipment. Full pads will include the following: shoulder pads, knee pads, thigh pads (either individually or in a girdle), hip pads either individually or in a girdle), pants, jersey, socks and cleats.Ad
-
2Prep your gear. Put your jersey on your shoulder pads. (The front is the side with the dip in the neck.) Put your knee pads in the slots for them in your pants and the same for hip/ thigh unless they're in your girdle.
-
3Put on your girdle, then pants as you would do any normal pair of pants. If there is a drawsting apparatus on the front of your pants pull it tight and tie it like a shoe. Make sure everything feels right. If it doesn't check to make sure your thigh or knee pads aren't upside down.
-
4Put on the shoulderpads. Put them over your head like a shirt. Put your arms through the sleeves. If you feel any discomfort on your back those are the straps that tighten the shoulder pads and they need to be pulled around your side. Shoulder pads will vary; however, the two most common types will either buckle like a belt with a prong-in-loop system, or you will insert a metal piece into a locking mechanism on your chest.
-
5Put your socks on, cleat up, and swag out (gloves, sleeves, eyeblack, ect), and let's play some football!AdAd
