9/2008 - Moved hosting, and moved again. 2/2008 - My how the time flies. In serious need of update, and DNS was screwed for months there. Guess no one missed us. Wiki and Captcha problems galore... 6/2007 - Now using reCaptcha -- I guess that makes us open again, not that we've had many contributions 5/2007 - On a 60mhz Sparc 10; hacked caching generated pages into Tiny Wiki 4/2004 - The EU Patents Protest page was moved from the Home Page to Patents Rant 4/2004 - RSS feed of Recent Changes: http://perldesignpatterns.com/rss.cgi 4/2004 - Crawl and be Banished! Attempts to crawl the site ignoring robots.txt are detected and the IP of the robot automatically banned. Bandwidth and CPU usage by robots got way out of control, quadrupling that of humans. Want a copy of everything? Use TinyCGI:download.cgi . 4/2004 - I've been neglecting the site while I work on other things, but I'll be back, some day. Referers are no longer being logged on the pages themselves - I might make this a seperate report later Comments Help - pages are now open to comments and discussion Pattern Index - brief synopsis (or problem statement) from each pattern in the table of contents Visual renderings of the site structure using Visualization Compiler Graphs, available at TinyCGI:pdp1.gif (445k) and TinyCGI:pdp2.png (11k), TinyCGI:pdp3.png (114k), just for fun. There is no master site map: this site is itself a web. Some recommeneded starting points are: Perl Design Patterns, Skip The Introduction, Category Anti Pattern, Category Book, Category Concept, Category Refactoring, Category Wiki, Perl Patterns Resources.

Wikis exist to discuss all topics: see Category Wiki for a few others. This site is a tool for collaboration on the Perl Design Patterns project. Discussion of Wiki technology, Perl, OO programming in general, language theory, are on topic. You're encouraged to make a page named after yourself (for example, Scott Walters is mine) and link to it off the Guest Log - your Personal Page need not be on topic. Off topic text not on your Personal Page is likely to be moved there or pruned, not because we don't think it's funny, merely because focus is important.
