    Remember that your son or daughter won't be taken away from you.  He or she is getting married because they love their fiance(e).

    When you meet your son's or daughter's fiance(e), ask questions about themselves, their feelings for your daughter or son, their line of work, and thoughts for the future.

    On their wedding day, be as supportive as possible.  You worked extremely hard to bring your son or daughter to this day, and ask them if you can help them in any way.

    When your grandchild (or grandchildren) are born, offer to babysit, and have toys and games for them to play with.
