EditMethod 1 of 5: Using Eyeshadow

  1. 1
Wet the applicator brush slightly (too much water will make it runny) and color the brush with the dark blue/purple eye shadow.

Apply your "bruise" on desired area. Make it about the size of two quarters.
  3. Fake a Bruise Step 3.jpg

Rub some non-powdery, apple-red blush around the edges for a raw, reddish look after you've achieved the level of darkness you want.

Blend some yellow in with the purple if you want it to look like it had pus.

EditTips

  • Don't make the bruise perfectly round; it won't look real. Give it an organic shape; also make it darker towards the middle.
  • If accused of using sparkly eyeshadow for your bruise, claim that you tried to cover it up with makeup that had sparkles in it.
  • All makeup should be matte, not sparkly. If your bruise sparkles it won't look real.
  • Rub the "bruise" with your finger a little bit for a faded touch.
  • Use a purple, red, green, or yellow colored pencil to make it look more realistic.
  • To get more graphite out of the pencil when you are rubbing it on your skin, scratch it on sandpaper every couple of strokes.
  • Fake faded hickeys with pink eye shadow or blush.
  • You can use some berries and fade them.

EditWarnings

  • Avoid lead. Use strictly graphite. Lead could cause a bad reaction to the skin.
  • Use warm water and soap to get the eye shadow off. Water won't do. You may also use eye make up remover.
  • Don't put the fake bruises near or around your eyes.
  • The colored pencil trick doesn't last very long, but it's good for a quick glance.
  • Don't get anyone worried about your "bruise," or falsely accuse someone for your "beating."
