Your ISSN, guidelines
To request an ISSN, contact your ISSN National Centre or, if there is no ISSN Center in your country, the ISSN International Centre.

Determine the procedure to follow based on your country
Consult the list and check whether your country has an ISSN National Centre or comes under the responsibility of the ISSN International Centre.
If your country has an ISSN National Centre
Click on the “Submit your request” button next to the name of your country.
You obtain all the useful contact details:
- name of the director,
- mailing address,
- telephone,
- website,
- email contact form, and
- if applicable, a link to an online application form.
Use this form to submit your application or, alternatively, the email contact form.
If your country comes under the responsibility of the ISSN International Centre
Read carefully the instructions, available in French, English, Spanish, Chinese, Russian and Arabic.
Click on the “Submit your request” button next to the name of your country.
Complete the online form.
Documents to attach to your application
In all cases, send your ISSN National Centre or the ISSN International Centre:
- the necessary information to describe the publication:
- title,
- frequency,
- publisher’s name,
- medium, etc.
- plus the corresponding supporting documents (copies):
- title page,
- cover page,
- editorial page,
- pdf or jpg of the jacket (if the publication is on CD-Rom),
- URL (if the resource is online).
